CosmosHub v19.1.0 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 21835200. It is estimated to take place 1 year ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd cosmos
git pull
git checkout v19.1.0
make install

Check Version

# should be v19.0.0
gaiad version

# Should be commit 4106e7a673da18b518fd81231a8e8b99bbf0fd0d
gaiad version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.gaia/cosmovisor/upgrades/v19/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/gaiad $HOME/.gaia/cosmovisor/upgrades/v19/bin

Check Version Again

# should be v19.0.0
$HOME/.gaia/cosmovisor/upgrades/v19/bin/gaiad version
