Kyve v1.5.0 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 7254527. It is estimated to take place 1 year ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd kyve
git pull
git checkout v1.5.0
make install

Check Version

# should be v1.5.0
kyved version

# Should be commit 3910277da474d51f4147fd388ac2c6cd4ca67c84
kyved version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.kyve/cosmovisor/upgrades/v1.5.0/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/kyved $HOME/.kyve/cosmovisor/upgrades/v1.5.0/bin

Check Version Again

# should be v1.5.0
$HOME/.kyve/cosmovisor/upgrades/v1.5.0/bin/kyved version
