Xion Network v7.0.0 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 1637000. It is estimated to take place 1 year ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd xion
git pull
git checkout v7.0.0
make install

Check Version

# should be 7.0.0
xiond version

# Should be commit 01c5275070ef8d73aa92180deaa70d4d201d6c45
xiond version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.xiond/cosmovisor/upgrades/v7.0.0/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/xiond $HOME/.xiond/cosmovisor/upgrades/v7.0.0/bin

Check Version Again

# should be 7.0.0
$HOME/.xiond/cosmovisor/upgrades/v7.0.0/bin/xiond version
