Neutron v4.0.1 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 12255555. It is estimated to take place 1 year ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd neutron
git pull
git checkout v4.0.1
make install

Check Version

# should be 4.0.1
neutrond version

# Should be commit 9d205f0b8eddbbcdc12ace0ddb2e1d4ded0429da
neutrond version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.neutrond/cosmovisor/upgrades/v4.0.1/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/neutrond $HOME/.neutrond/cosmovisor/upgrades/v4.0.1/bin

Check Version Again

# should be 4.0.1
$HOME/.neutrond/cosmovisor/upgrades/v4.0.1/bin/neutrond version
