Sei v5.5.2 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 79123881. It is estimated to take place 1 year ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd sei
git pull
git checkout v5.5.2
make install

Check Version

# should be v5.5.2
seid version

# Should be commit c92dc5fb3b15e8a62a3fcf8b7c53cfb3ce940119
seid version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.sei/cosmovisor/upgrades/v5.5.2/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/seid $HOME/.sei/cosmovisor/upgrades/v5.5.2/bin

Check Version Again

# should be v5.5.2
$HOME/.sei/cosmovisor/upgrades/v5.5.2/bin/seid version
