Osmosis v25.0.0 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 15753500. It is estimated to take place 6 months ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd osmosis
git pull
git checkout v25.0.0
make install

Check Version

# should be 25.0.0
osmosisd version

# Should be commit 15566f1f2945a16af9243dd376ee58a0d691b66a
osmosisd version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.osmosisd/cosmovisor/upgrades/v25/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/osmosisd $HOME/.osmosisd/cosmovisor/upgrades/v25/bin

Check Version Again

# should be 25.0.0
$HOME/.osmosisd/cosmovisor/upgrades/v25/bin/osmosisd version
