Sei v3.9.0 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 73290488. It is estimated to take place 7 months ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd sei
git pull
git checkout v3.9.0
make install

Check Version

# should be v3.9.0
seid version

# Should be commit 98bad22aa65052cd3c21637cdbd2c4a97711a385
seid version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.sei/cosmovisor/upgrades/v3.9.0/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/seid $HOME/.sei/cosmovisor/upgrades/v3.9.0/bin

Check Version Again

# should be v3.9.0
$HOME/.sei/cosmovisor/upgrades/v3.9.0/bin/seid version
