dYdX v4.1.0 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 14404200. It is estimated to take place 1 year ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd dydx
git pull
git checkout v4.1.0
make install

Check Version

# should be 4.1.0
dydxprotocold version

# Should be commit 52397f90df5fef1df8520cb1bd86552691c4f3a2
dydxprotocold version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.dydxprotocol/cosmovisor/upgrades/v4.1.0/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/dydxprotocold $HOME/.dydxprotocol/cosmovisor/upgrades/v4.1.0/bin

Check Version Again

# should be 4.1.0
$HOME/.dydxprotocol/cosmovisor/upgrades/v4.1.0/bin/dydxprotocold version
