Osmosis v24.0.0 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 14830300. It is estimated to take place 1 year ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd osmosis
git pull
git checkout v24.0.0
make install

Check Version

# should be 24.0.0
osmosisd version

# Should be commit c5cdf79b21dde44739fe7bc6616945c5704aa40a
osmosisd version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.osmosisd/cosmovisor/upgrades/v24/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/osmosisd $HOME/.osmosisd/cosmovisor/upgrades/v24/bin

Check Version Again

# should be 24.0.0
$HOME/.osmosisd/cosmovisor/upgrades/v24/bin/osmosisd version
