Stride v21.0.0 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 8370738. It is estimated to take place 7 months ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd stride
git pull
git checkout v21.0.0
make install

Check Version

# should be v21.0.0
strided version

# Should be commit 093f25e17b1c9fae38a8092f9582af7c84bbaee4
strided version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.stride/cosmovisor/upgrades/v21/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/strided $HOME/.stride/cosmovisor/upgrades/v21/bin

Check Version Again

# should be v21.0.0
$HOME/.stride/cosmovisor/upgrades/v21/bin/strided version
