SGE Network v1.5.3 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 2973740. It is estimated to take place 1 month ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd sge
git pull
git checkout v1.5.3
make install

Check Version

# should be v1.5.3
sged version

# Should be commit 977c6dad66304040a11b7faa84782a1dacc1dc1f
sged version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.sge/cosmovisor/upgrades/v1.5.3/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/sged $HOME/.sge/cosmovisor/upgrades/v1.5.3/bin

Check Version Again

# should be v1.5.3
$HOME/.sge/cosmovisor/upgrades/v1.5.3/bin/sged version
