Stride v20.0.0 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 8269628. It is estimated to take place 1 year ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd stride
git pull
git checkout v20.0.0
make install

Check Version

# should be v20.0.0
strided version

# Should be commit 1882c33dc380993fb95583edfca33295d9785b35
strided version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.stride/cosmovisor/upgrades/v20/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/strided $HOME/.stride/cosmovisor/upgrades/v20/bin

Check Version Again

# should be v20.0.0
$HOME/.stride/cosmovisor/upgrades/v20/bin/strided version
