Quicksilver v1.5.0 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 6365700. It is estimated to take place 9 months ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd quicksilver
git pull
git checkout v1.5.0
make install

Check Version

# should be v1.5.0
quicksilverd version

# Should be commit f3fb2d9b0a156eb01d8c2d410510ad5ae7bc3247
quicksilverd version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.quicksilverd/cosmovisor/upgrades/v1.5.0/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/quicksilverd $HOME/.quicksilverd/cosmovisor/upgrades/v1.5.0/bin

Check Version Again

# should be v1.5.0
$HOME/.quicksilverd/cosmovisor/upgrades/v1.5.0/bin/quicksilverd version
