Osmosis v23.0.0 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 13899375. It is estimated to take place 2 months ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd osmosis
git pull
git checkout v23.0.0
make install

Check Version

# should be 23.0.0
osmosisd version

# Should be commit 8627f019be5ebb7292282a35a41acc51c5948dd8
osmosisd version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.osmosisd/cosmovisor/upgrades/v23/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/osmosisd $HOME/.osmosisd/cosmovisor/upgrades/v23/bin

Check Version Again

# should be 23.0.0
$HOME/.osmosisd/cosmovisor/upgrades/v23/bin/osmosisd version
