Stride v18.0.0 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 7464647. It is estimated to take place 3 months ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd stride
git pull
git checkout v18.0.0
make install

Check Version

# should be v18.0.0
strided version

# Should be commit 4913e1dd1a9b0e6e55678d3eede25f7c8a5b43a2
strided version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.stride/cosmovisor/upgrades/v18/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/strided $HOME/.stride/cosmovisor/upgrades/v18/bin

Check Version Again

# should be v18.0.0
$HOME/.stride/cosmovisor/upgrades/v18/bin/strided version
