Stride v17.0.0 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 7244427. It is estimated to take place 1 year ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd stride
git pull
git checkout v17.0.0
make install

Check Version

# should be v17.0.0
strided version

# Should be commit 121f2ac5d2e5f8e406f89999410a49ea4277a552
strided version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.stride/cosmovisor/upgrades/v17/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/strided $HOME/.stride/cosmovisor/upgrades/v17/bin

Check Version Again

# should be v17.0.0
$HOME/.stride/cosmovisor/upgrades/v17/bin/strided version
