Terra v2.9.3 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 8782000. It is estimated to take place 1 year ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd terra
git pull
git checkout v2.9.3
make install

Check Version

# should be v2.9.3
terrad version

# Should be commit afd2aacfe64ad39750cf8d38b4d5ad8bfd5498c9
terrad version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.terra/cosmovisor/upgrades/v2.9/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/terrad $HOME/.terra/cosmovisor/upgrades/v2.9/bin

Check Version Again

# should be v2.9.3
$HOME/.terra/cosmovisor/upgrades/v2.9/bin/terrad version
