Osmosis v21.0.0 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 12834100. It is estimated to take place 1 year ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd osmosis
git pull
git checkout v21.0.0
make install

Check Version

# should be 21.0.0
osmosisd version

# Should be commit b0aee0006ce55d0851773084bd7880db7e32ad70
osmosisd version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.osmosisd/cosmovisor/upgrades/v21/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/osmosisd $HOME/.osmosisd/cosmovisor/upgrades/v21/bin

Check Version Again

# should be 21.0.0
$HOME/.osmosisd/cosmovisor/upgrades/v21/bin/osmosisd version
