Neutron v2.0.0 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 5416000. It is estimated to take place 1 year ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd neutron
git pull
git checkout v2.0.0
make install

Check Version

# should be 2.0.0
neutrond version

# Should be commit e605ed3db4381994ee8185ba4a0ff0877d34e67f
neutrond version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.neutrond/cosmovisor/upgrades/v2.0.0/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/neutrond $HOME/.neutrond/cosmovisor/upgrades/v2.0.0/bin

Check Version Again

# should be 2.0.0
$HOME/.neutrond/cosmovisor/upgrades/v2.0.0/bin/neutrond version
