Osmosis v20.1.0 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 12028900. It is estimated to take place 1 year ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd osmosis
git pull
git checkout v20.1.0
make install

Check Version

# should be 20.1.0
osmosisd version

# Should be commit 5640a99c346913e4c4c8de1a80d9f8b0f91d4b24
osmosisd version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.osmosisd/cosmovisor/upgrades/v20/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/osmosisd $HOME/.osmosisd/cosmovisor/upgrades/v20/bin

Check Version Again

# should be 20.1.0
$HOME/.osmosisd/cosmovisor/upgrades/v20/bin/osmosisd version
