Stride v16.0.0 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 5932395. It is estimated to take place 2 years ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd stride
git pull
git checkout v16.0.0
make install

Check Version

# should be v16.0.0
strided version

# Should be commit e0c02910e036f4f2894a96c5222aebacc3ce0a4a
strided version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.stride/cosmovisor/upgrades/v16/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/strided $HOME/.stride/cosmovisor/upgrades/v16/bin

Check Version Again

# should be v16.0.0
$HOME/.stride/cosmovisor/upgrades/v16/bin/strided version
