Sei v3.1.1 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 29772820. It is estimated to take place 2 years ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd sei
git pull
git checkout v3.1.1
make install

Check Version

# should be 3.1.1
seid version

# Should be commit 607e9195f65a2ef86a1395df1ccc5a2af9f3ad27
seid version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.sei/cosmovisor/upgrades/v3.1.1/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/seid $HOME/.sei/cosmovisor/upgrades/v3.1.1/bin

Check Version Again

# should be 3.1.1
$HOME/.sei/cosmovisor/upgrades/v3.1.1/bin/seid version
