Gitopia v3.3.0 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 6720000. It is estimated to take place 2 years ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd gitopia
git pull
git checkout v3.3.0
make install

Check Version

# should be 3.3.0
gitopiad version

# Should be commit 0eab60ecf8c3e22e9c71d54346f76a35830a5dc5
gitopiad version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.gitopia/cosmovisor/upgrades/v3.3.0/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/gitopiad $HOME/.gitopia/cosmovisor/upgrades/v3.3.0/bin

Check Version Again

# should be 3.3.0
$HOME/.gitopia/cosmovisor/upgrades/v3.3.0/bin/gitopiad version
