Picasso v5.0.1 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 1515288. It is estimated to take place 1 year ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd picasso
git pull
git checkout v5.0.1
make install

Check Version

# should be v5.0.1
picad version

# Should be commit b3ee95b3632ffac970a0acdebdbcef8f0d308986
picad version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.banksy/cosmovisor/upgrades/v5/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/picad $HOME/.banksy/cosmovisor/upgrades/v5/bin

Check Version Again

# should be v5.0.1
$HOME/.banksy/cosmovisor/upgrades/v5/bin/picad version
