Shentu v2.7.2 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 14875800. It is estimated to take place 2 years ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd shentu
git pull
git checkout v2.7.2
make install

Check Version

# should be 2.7.2
shentud version

# Should be commit 52a96fe8b01e9a35a97f04083acf991a95a70e8d
shentud version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.shentud/cosmovisor/upgrades/v2.7.2/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/shentud $HOME/.shentud/cosmovisor/upgrades/v2.7.2/bin

Check Version Again

# should be 2.7.2
$HOME/.shentud/cosmovisor/upgrades/v2.7.2/bin/shentud version
