Osmosis v18.0.0 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 11155350. It is estimated to take place 8 months ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd osmosis
git pull
git checkout v18.0.0
make install

Check Version

# should be 18.0.0
osmosisd version

# Should be commit 1c5f25d04f19d6302e0bdd585ba1d7a2cc96e397
osmosisd version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.osmosisd/cosmovisor/upgrades/v18/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/osmosisd $HOME/.osmosisd/cosmovisor/upgrades/v18/bin

Check Version Again

# should be 18.0.0
$HOME/.osmosisd/cosmovisor/upgrades/v18/bin/osmosisd version
