Osmosis v17.0.0 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 11126100. It is estimated to take place 2 years ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd osmosis
git pull
git checkout v17.0.0
make install

Check Version

# should be 17.0.0
osmosisd version

# Should be commit ea8b7410e66f4aa7f360e1ce09e7b0cfd5e6e4bf
osmosisd version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.osmosisd/cosmovisor/upgrades/v17/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/osmosisd $HOME/.osmosisd/cosmovisor/upgrades/v17/bin

Check Version Again

# should be 17.0.0
$HOME/.osmosisd/cosmovisor/upgrades/v17/bin/osmosisd version
