Picasso v4.0.1 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 792909. It is estimated to take place 2 years ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd picasso
git pull
git checkout v4.0.1
make install

Check Version

# should be v4.0.1
picad version

# Should be commit 603ab5fc6a07d1dcdf5382dd8c012bd56dee14cd
picad version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.banksy/cosmovisor/upgrades/v4/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/picad $HOME/.banksy/cosmovisor/upgrades/v4/bin

Check Version Again

# should be v4.0.1
$HOME/.banksy/cosmovisor/upgrades/v4/bin/picad version
