Jackal v2.1.0 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 3503000. It is estimated to take place 2 years ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd jackal
git pull
git checkout v2.1.0
make install

Check Version

# should be 2.1.0
canined version

# Should be commit 18b171189b5fba890ca861a08e8774400e346a86
canined version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.canine/cosmovisor/upgrades/v210/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/canined $HOME/.canine/cosmovisor/upgrades/v210/bin

Check Version Again

# should be 2.1.0
$HOME/.canine/cosmovisor/upgrades/v210/bin/canined version
