Kujira v0.8.4 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 9226200. It is estimated to take place 1 year ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd kujira
git pull
git checkout v0.8.4
make install

Check Version

# should be 0.8.4
kujirad version

# Should be commit 408d9d8200f82349428bfb77dc01c7b4caa040fc
kujirad version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.kujira/cosmovisor/upgrades/v0.8.4/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/kujirad $HOME/.kujira/cosmovisor/upgrades/v0.8.4/bin

Check Version Again

# should be 0.8.4
$HOME/.kujira/cosmovisor/upgrades/v0.8.4/bin/kujirad version
