Osmosis v15.0.0 Upgrade

This upgrade adds many new features, including the ProtoRev module developed by Skip and a global minimum gas price.

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 8732500. It is estimated to take place 1 year ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd osmosis
git pull
git checkout v15.0.0
make install

Check Version

# should be v15.0.0
osmosisd version

# Should be commit v15.0.0
osmosisd version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.osmosisd/cosmovisor/upgrades/v15/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/osmosisd $HOME/.osmosisd/cosmovisor/upgrades/v15/bin

Check Version Again

# should be v15.0.0
$HOME/.osmosisd/cosmovisor/upgrades/v15/bin/osmosisd version
