Quicksilver v1.2.4 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 883000. It is estimated to take place 1 year ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd quicksilver
git pull
git checkout v1.2.4
make install

Check Version

# should be v1.2.4
quicksilverd version

# Should be commit 08236aad4e7f31ab5198be182e4a500473132643
quicksilverd version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.quicksilverd/cosmovisor/upgrades/v1.2.4/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/quicksilverd $HOME/.quicksilverd/cosmovisor/upgrades/v1.2.4/bin

Check Version Again

# should be v1.2.4
$HOME/.quicksilverd/cosmovisor/upgrades/v1.2.4/bin/quicksilverd version
