Juno v12.0.0 Upgrade

This upgrade will require a 20% deposit (200 JUNO) on proposal creation in order to prevent governance proposal spams.

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 7075551. It is estimated to take place 1 year ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd juno
git pull
git checkout v12.0.0
make install

Check Version

# should be v12.0.0
junod version

# Should be commit c5286524143747a3a6df42ef5095a588b78df734
junod version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.juno/cosmovisor/upgrades/v12/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/junod $HOME/.juno/cosmovisor/upgrades/v12/bin

Check Version Again

# should be v12.0.0
$HOME/.juno/cosmovisor/upgrades/v12/bin/junod version
