Comdex v8.1.0 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 6300350. It is estimated to take place 1 year ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd comdex
git pull
git checkout v8.1.0
make install

Check Version

# should be v8.1.0
comdex version

# Should be commit 1367270b69590f46143a84576220a0b296e871ab
comdex version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.comdex/cosmovisor/upgrades/v8.1.0/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/comdex $HOME/.comdex/cosmovisor/upgrades/v8.1.0/bin

Check Version Again

# should be v8.1.0
$HOME/.comdex/cosmovisor/upgrades/v8.1.0/bin/comdex version
