Stride v3.0.0 Upgrade

This upgrade adds the following features: airdrop module, Authz support and automated error handling around closed channels + ICQ.

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 1149411. It is estimated to take place 2 years ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd stride
git pull
git checkout v3.0.0
make install

Check Version

# should be v3.0.0
strided version

# Should be commit 8ebccb4fe53084faf044ffa2c1e4523952f28307
strided version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.stride/cosmovisor/upgrades/v3/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/strided $HOME/.stride/cosmovisor/upgrades/v3/bin

Check Version Again

# should be v3.0.0
$HOME/.stride/cosmovisor/upgrades/v3/bin/strided version
