CosmosHub v29.0.1 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 33618500. It is estimated to take place 1 day from now. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd cosmos
git pull
git checkout v29.0.1
make install

Check Version

# should be v29.0.1
gaiad version

# Should be commit 48c981b3198164a3d5ba5632ed631fcc3e9eeb09
gaiad version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.gaia/cosmovisor/upgrades/v29.0.0/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/gaiad $HOME/.gaia/cosmovisor/upgrades/v29.0.0/bin

Check Version Again

# should be v29.0.1
$HOME/.gaia/cosmovisor/upgrades/v29.0.0/bin/gaiad version
