Hippo Protocol v2.0.0 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 7165000. It is estimated to take place 3 days from now. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd hippo
git pull
git checkout v2.0.0
make install

Check Version

# should be 2.0.0
hippod version

# Should be commit 8821aa9b37b4c62dcc019645f1377feeec701b97
hippod version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.hippo/cosmovisor/upgrades/v2.0.0/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/hippod $HOME/.hippo/cosmovisor/upgrades/v2.0.0/bin

Check Version Again

# should be 2.0.0
$HOME/.hippo/cosmovisor/upgrades/v2.0.0/bin/hippod version
