dYdX v9.7.0 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 105002000. It is estimated to take place 1 day from now. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd dydx
git pull
git checkout v9.7.0
make install

Check Version

# should be 9.7.0
dydxprotocold version

# Should be commit 67a3c71670c460ef92ffb15930dda7047a901f64
dydxprotocold version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.dydxprotocol/cosmovisor/upgrades/v9.7/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/dydxprotocold $HOME/.dydxprotocol/cosmovisor/upgrades/v9.7/bin

Check Version Again

# should be 9.7.0
$HOME/.dydxprotocol/cosmovisor/upgrades/v9.7/bin/dydxprotocold version
