CosmosHub v28.0.0 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 32785900. It is estimated to take place 2 days from now. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd cosmos
git pull
git checkout v28.0.0
make install

Check Version

# should be v28.0.0
gaiad version

# Should be commit a2b06c8d088df47bd32efe9d09b10a8ce48edd1f
gaiad version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.gaia/cosmovisor/upgrades/v28.0.0/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/gaiad $HOME/.gaia/cosmovisor/upgrades/v28.0.0/bin

Check Version Again

# should be v28.0.0
$HOME/.gaia/cosmovisor/upgrades/v28.0.0/bin/gaiad version
