Carbon v2.82.0 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 98222301. It is estimated to take place 3 days ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd carbon
git pull
git checkout v2.82.0
make install

Check Version

# should be 2.82.0
carbond version

# Should be commit f5bf7a503a36abebad2d30b8ef295342a5400331
carbond version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.carbon/cosmovisor/upgrades/v2.82.0/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/carbond $HOME/.carbon/cosmovisor/upgrades/v2.82.0/bin

Check Version Again

# should be 2.82.0
$HOME/.carbon/cosmovisor/upgrades/v2.82.0/bin/carbond version
