BitBadges v30 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 9905000. It is estimated to take place 3 days from now. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd bitbadges
git pull
git checkout v30
make install

Check Version

# should be v30
bitbadgeschaind version

# Should be commit cab7c8a
bitbadgeschaind version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.bitbadgeschain/cosmovisor/upgrades/v30/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/bitbadgeschaind $HOME/.bitbadgeschain/cosmovisor/upgrades/v30/bin

Check Version Again

# should be v30
$HOME/.bitbadgeschain/cosmovisor/upgrades/v30/bin/bitbadgeschaind version
