Xion Network v29.0.0 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 20665000. It is estimated to take place 2 days from now. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd xion
git pull
git checkout v29.0.0
make install

Check Version

# should be v29.0.0-SNAPSHOT-4a76aaf
xiond version

# Should be commit 4a76aaf9ac942207b59d3a880005655f3908fa28
xiond version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.xiond/cosmovisor/upgrades/v29/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/xiond $HOME/.xiond/cosmovisor/upgrades/v29/bin

Check Version Again

# should be v29.0.0-SNAPSHOT-4a76aaf
$HOME/.xiond/cosmovisor/upgrades/v29/bin/xiond version
