CosmosHub v27.2.0 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 30675400. It is estimated to take place 2 days from now. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd cosmos
git pull
git checkout v27.2.0
make install

Check Version

# should be v27.2.0
gaiad version

# Should be commit b3654bc875e8732ac6a2ecbe9417db139b5b90b1
gaiad version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.gaia/cosmovisor/upgrades/v27.2.0/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/gaiad $HOME/.gaia/cosmovisor/upgrades/v27.2.0/bin

Check Version Again

# should be v27.2.0
$HOME/.gaia/cosmovisor/upgrades/v27.2.0/bin/gaiad version
