CosmosHub v27.1.0 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 30466800. It is estimated to take place 3 days from now. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd cosmos
git pull
git checkout v27.1.0
make install

Check Version

# should be v27.1.0
gaiad version

# Should be commit 98aba6f2c46c47b341c0d34ce8fec71f3bf1458d
gaiad version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.gaia/cosmovisor/upgrades/v27.1.0/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/gaiad $HOME/.gaia/cosmovisor/upgrades/v27.1.0/bin

Check Version Again

# should be v27.1.0
$HOME/.gaia/cosmovisor/upgrades/v27.1.0/bin/gaiad version
