CosmosHub v26.0.0 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 29837600. It is estimated to take place 1 week from now. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd cosmos
git pull
git checkout v26.0.0
make install

Check Version

# should be v26.0.0
gaiad version

# Should be commit cb430115842f9238e8331019907740732121a37c
gaiad version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.gaia/cosmovisor/upgrades/v26.0.0/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/gaiad $HOME/.gaia/cosmovisor/upgrades/v26.0.0/bin

Check Version Again

# should be v26.0.0
$HOME/.gaia/cosmovisor/upgrades/v26.0.0/bin/gaiad version
