Coreum v6.0.0 Upgrade

LFG!

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 66484000. It is estimated to take place 3 weeks from now. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd coreum
git pull
git checkout v6.0.0
make install

Check Version

# should be v6.0.0
cored version

# Should be commit 34ac7e4bd3af9bc9b48298f8e4c3e2f3d586eb7c
cored version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.core/coreum-mainnet-1/cosmovisor/upgrades/v6/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/cored $HOME/.core/coreum-mainnet-1/cosmovisor/upgrades/v6/bin

Check Version Again

# should be v6.0.0
$HOME/.core/coreum-mainnet-1/cosmovisor/upgrades/v6/bin/cored version
