Hippo Protocol v1.0.2 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 3847000. It is estimated to take place 6 days from now. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd hippo
git pull
git checkout v1.0.2
make install

Check Version

# should be v1.0.2
hippod version

# Should be commit v1.0.2
hippod version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.hippo/cosmovisor/upgrades/v1.0.2/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/hippod $HOME/.hippo/cosmovisor/upgrades/v1.0.2/bin

Check Version Again

# should be v1.0.2
$HOME/.hippo/cosmovisor/upgrades/v1.0.2/bin/hippod version
